I'm a creator who uses sound, words, fiber, glass, and metal to create poems, patterns, stories, music, ornaments, adornments and peace whenever possible. I've won fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts, Ragdale, and The National Endowment for The Arts, among other awards. I am a Cave Canem fellow.
My fiber love ranges from planting to end product. I make paper from scratch, creating figured paper and vessels.
An avid crochet designer (over 150 designs), I also dig weaving with sticks, which finds its expression in masks. I sing a lot, own a tenor and alto sax, piano, guitar and over 2500 mostly jazz records.
I have a deep and abiding affection for flameworking and warm glass. My hot glass expression was sandcasting; disability made continued creaion in that way impossible. So I flow elsewhere.
Creating and making are my sourcefuel.
